Filling Pieces

Concrete, Amsterdam One of worlds finest Architectual offices. Situated in Amsterdam, Rozengracht. It was founded in Amsterdam, and in a short time one of worlds greatest and well known interior/architectual companies. They did projects like: Supperclub, CitizenM, Selridges, MiniBar, URL nyc, Coffee Company and many more their vision is clear and very sophisticated.

As an intern for Concrete, I recognized their way of work and way of thinking. It all starts with an idea, what turns into a concept and at the end a great product. For me those are the perfect steps to design. Because we had a common way of looking and thinking about design,art and fashion we started to work on a collaboration. Rob (the founder of Concrete) ,ErikJan (leader of the architectual part of Concrete) and me (Guillaume Philibert) wanted to make a product together. We decided to make a special edition of the Filling Pieces Low Tops, in Concrete's color (Bright Orange).

The shoes are made out of a good mix of Fine Leather and Suede, orange cotton laces and the well known vulcanized sole. The FP x Concrete's were not fore a commercial use, and only custom made for every employee of Concrete (38/38)

Filling Pieces for Concrete 2009, Amsterdam Holland.

Gorilli is a concept store based in Rotterdam,Holland. It's one of Netherlands finest stores. Alot of people think its just a store, but I think its more like a gallery/showroom. Their products and collection in store are Art. Fashion is a form of art, and that is the same way Dony and Talat think about it. Exclusivity is the keyword in this whole concept. It's a example of the new concepts of shopping and selling art.

Gorilli was the first store who believed in Filling Pieces, and also the first place where they could be found. The second time we met we already talked about a collaboration, and that is what happened. We made the red Filling Pieces Low Tops in a special edition. On the side a woven Gorilli logo, and on the tongue the Gorilli Monkey logo patched. It was the first step in a love relationship between the brand and the store.

The shoes are made out of a mix of hard leather and suede. Patterned with the Gorilli logo.
